The special issue of Interartive “Culture and Urban Space” explores the topic with contributions by art theorists, urban planners, architects, academics and artists. The special issue was the result of a collaboration between the editorial team of Interartive, the research group “Urban Encounters and Conflicts” and I, as a chief editor.
Beginning with the initial scene of the film “Wings of desire” by Wim Wenders and the suggested panoramic view of the urban space, the text compares the Angel’s view with the panoptical view offered by digital devices.
